UltraFrame Livin Roof

We have been installng the UltraFrame Livin Roof system for over a decade now. It combines the best features of a glass and solid roof, with stunning hyrbid results and typically a 0.15 u-value. We work directly with you, to compliment your individual property, in choosing which parts of the roof are glazed, bringing natural light through to adjoining room. The results are always unique and certainly offer up the “wow factor” when you walk into any space featuring the Livin Roof.

A brilliant feature of the the Livin Roof is the ability to have shaped or full-length tapered glass sections within the roof design. Velux roof windows are a staple design in a more normal solid roof, so if you are looking for something a little bit different or are very concerned about how much natural light will be shared into the adjoining room then the Livin Roof could be for you.

From the photos you will see a key feature to the Livin Roof is the pelmet. Again, each roof is different subject to the shape and design of the room, but the pelmet always offers an aesthetically pleased location for the spotlights to be housed.

Externally all Livin Roof roofs are powder coated in RAL 7016, or Anthracite Grey. Therefore, the same colour is a very popular option to extend down into the UPVC or aluminium frames below to colour match. Internally, as per our tiled roofs, we will plaster to a high-quality standard. This is despite of the challenge of some or our quirkier roof designs! You can choose between different styles of guttering too, each roof really is bespoke.

Within the glass sections we can offer a variety of glass finishes, usually this tends to at least be Pilkington Activ glass to help keep the roof looking spick and span! Other options include reducing solar glare and protecting sofa fabrics underneath. Either way, the space will not function like a traditional conservatory.

If you are considering the LivinRoof as a replacement roof only (keeping your existing windows and doors) it is possible. Subject to a site visit we can advise in detail, however we would anticipate the need to include reinforcement support posts and new window boards as a result of most inspections. The support posts are typically sleeved in colour matching UPVC to blend in with your existing frames.

A funny question we often get asked about the LivinRoof is “can you walk on it?!”. Yes you can, if you really want to…. Even if we can think of better things to do! However, it is peace of mind for any windows above and fire escape situations.
